Ultimately, it gets me to where I am today and I love who I am today and what I've been through and the stories and lessons that I've learned across the years.
So I'm thankful for the whole journey.

It's got some challenges.
Transitioning out of AFL footy has just got challenges in general.
Sometimes you have to be careful with what you say and who you send it to.
That's right, Bill.
I've learnt that lesson earlier this year.
When you walk into the media, you want to give an unbiased view on football and give your thoughts as they are.
And when everyone's seen you as a Carlton player and a Carlton person for a long time, that can be quite jarring.
So it's been a process in...
in building that across the year.
I hope that people listen to me in the media and know that I'm well-researched and honest and give my opinion where it's due.
And that's the way I've tried to go about it.
And at times it gets you in hot water, at times it doesn't.
So I'm thoroughly enjoying it though, Jim.
Having been in time in a football club for a long period, I knew exactly where it was coming from and you can't be seen to be associating with someone that's been negative.
Whether it's a bit too brittle or not, you can make your own judgments off that.
I didn't take too much of a fence to it, to be honest.
And I'm old enough and wise enough to try not to care about too much of that stuff these days.
