It's just been really interesting to see teams so willing to trade guys that they signed a few months ago, but those reasons I was just talking about.
They are desirable by other clubs, so trade them while you can, I guess.
Yeah, yeah.
I think that it is certainly flashy when you can attach a number like that.
And that's, I get it.
That's also what we do with prospect rankings, right?
Like when you can say he's the number 15 prospect versus the number 11 prospect and everybody freaks out of like, what's the difference between four spots?
And sometimes we have to come in here and be like, it's not as big of a difference as you thought it was.
But with the draft picks, it's much easier to be like, hey, here's where he was taken and here's how much he was signed for.
And that's hard numbers that people can look at and get excited one way or the other.
Yeah, so the one I was most excited to see move was Michael Ferret because he's so fascinating and he fits pitching philosophy, at least for 2025.
We'll see how the dust settles on 2026.
I feel like everybody goes to their labs and comes back and brings stories of like, here's this kick change that nobody knew about.
So maybe things will change.
But Michael Ferret right now throws six different pitches.
It's a fastball or it's a four-seamer.
It's a sinker.
It's a sweeper, a death ball, which is like a slider, curveball mix type thing.
a changeup, and a kick change.
So in this age of the pitch mix, he's bringing so many different options, and they're all going in different directions, and they're all working for his arm slot.
