A lot of people that I've spoken to over the last probably six months working in the EV or in the car industry and journalists as well, they still seem to believe that hydrogen trucks for long haul transport are the answer. matched

And I don't agree with that. matched

The charging network required to support Tesla's large electric commercial trucks is going public and it's official. matched

Up until now, early fleet operators have been complaining to me. matched

I kid you not, they send me emails complaining, saying that I should do something about it. matched

I'm like, what am I going to do? matched

You've got to wait, just got to wait, unfortunately. matched

So those operators, private operators, have had to basically rely on private operators matched

depot hardware to charge their Tesla semis. matched

But that's just changed. matched

A major infrastructure milestone just went live in California. matched

Now I get there's only one, well, sort of one in a way, but it's a start. matched

As spotted and highlighted by Sawyer Merritt, Tesla has opened the world's first public mega-charger in Bloomington, California, just about an hour east of Los Angeles. matched

This is not really the world's first. matched

There's already 1,000 kilowatt chargers in China that can charge trucks. matched
