On a side street in the Bronx in New York, a man is lying on the pavement, not asleep, not breathing.
Tom Blazek is an outreach worker at On Point NYC, a harm reduction organisation that sends teams onto the streets of the Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
He's been doing this work for nine years.
Naloxone, that's the antidote, the thing this whole episode is built around.
