And the thing is, Pablo, as soon as I mentioned the name Kawhi Leonard, I didn't hear back directly from Daktronics.

But within 30 minutes, I got an email from someone.

From the domain name gfbunting.com.

His vibe was pretty friendly.

I think he wanted to get out of me what we were going to report.

And he said very clearly that he was not a spokesperson for Daktronics, though it later became clear that this firm had been hired by Daktronics to respond to this crisis or other crises or whatever various issues the companies faced.

And I'll just say that when I brought up Kawhi Leonard and the sponsorship, it didn't sound like this was the first time this guy was hearing about it.

Yes, but not before saying a couple of interesting things.

One, he says, quote, my understanding is Daktronics doesn't have a deal with Kauai right now.

Please let me know if you have any comment.

And so, for this Crisis Comms guy to call back and say... Quote, my understanding is Daktronics doesn't have a deal with Kawhi right now.

But that's not the answer I got from these professional crisis comms strategists.

When I followed up on it, what he said was, quote, I don't know what the company wants to say or can say, given the Wachtel investigation and all that.

And it was clear to me that that investigation wasn't something that Daktronics was loosely following, but it was something they were intimately involved in or asked about.
