I do think they need it this year because of how many rookies are going to have to factor in to what they want to do this year, especially defensively.

you need mansour delane to play a lot of snaps you need peter woods to play snaps you need r mason thomas to play snaps you might need uh josh kennedy to play some snaps jayden kennedy to play some snaps as well like so the rookies i think could use a head start that they weren't afforded last year when the chiefs opted against this plus you need your quarterback maybe to get his feet wet a little bit before the the they had three offensive linemen out there

And so that's all I have available.

So at one point, like Trey Watson's the only tight end.

So, I mean, man, does that guy have to be winded after the first few days of camp.

And I'm sure he's a guy who wants to prove that he belongs on the roster, but also probably can't wait to be able to rotate some snaps with...

I have been fooled in the past about guys who I thought had really good rookie camps.

And then, you know, veterans showed up and then the pads come on and they just slowly start to fade.

So it's a really long-winded answer of saying that I've cautioned myself, like, not to read too much into...

Well, you know, I mean, I keep my eyes on, like, Mansour Delane, like, almost every play.

Right.

And I've actually thought about this as...

The most exciting positions you could have from a media perspective to evaluate, number one would be quarterback.

I mean, he's involved in every single play.

I actually think number two would be cornerback, though, because he doesn't know the ball's not coming his way, so he has to defend every play.

And it doesn't matter as much that pads aren't involved for him as it does anyone else.

But I'll say...

Mansour Delaney, I thought, had a pretty up and down weekend.

I don't like he was not shut down cornerback over the first two days.
