He's definitely not your prototypical type of closer.

Look, I mean, I wonder if over these next couple of months to end the season, if they see what Steven Cruz looks like in a later inning, in an eighth or ninth inning, because he's thrown really well lately, and he is a guy who throws hard.

And now's the time to find that stuff out, because it was, what was it, 23 that they thought Carlos Hernandez was trending that way?

And I found myself on his baseball reference page a couple days ago because it was like, what happened to that guy?

This was a guy who two years ago was trending towards a closer.

I think now's the time to figure out with some of these guys where you think they could belong.

I think any time that guy comes out of the game, I think it's cause for concern because he does everything to not miss games.

I mean, he's of that Patrick Mahomes ilk where it's like, you're going to have to take me off of the field.

You have to take me out.

I'm not taking myself out.

For him to come out of the game because of the way he's feeling, I think it shows that he feels bad enough to where he feels like he's hurting the team for being out there.

Yeah.

I'm not saying that there's other players where I wouldn't feel that, but he's the extreme in that when he's coming out of the game, you feel like something's wrong.

And that's the type of injury where you might feel like you're good to go in a few days, and you're like, uh-oh, no, I'm not.

And that's really what's happened over the past three days with him.

I mean, he missed a game, came back, and then yesterday again, it's like, uh-oh, here it is again.

I think that's a major motivating factor for him is not missing.

Look, I mean, I think that requires a conversation with him.
