Piccolo were discussing why they took him.

I thought their rationale made sense for why they valued him more than maybe some other places valued him.

They're looking at his numbers and saying, okay, yeah, but he didn't feast on the mid-majors because he was injured during that part of the season.

All of his production came against

conference teams.

Yeah, high-level ACC.

Yeah, so he played a harder schedule than some other people did.

And I think because of that, they felt like he was undervalued.

Brian Bridges is just incredibly honest.

And I think you could even say to a fault because he said that not only did the first –

five picks unfold the way that they anticipated, but he said, unfortunately.

I don't know how often you hear somebody say that.

So I think it seemed to me that this organization thought that there were four pretty clear-cut guys, top four, and the rest of it is about what you prioritized.

And what's interesting is to hear him say,

peel back big picture what their strategy is on the draft and you know it applies to to zion but it's not specifically just uh about him with rose but um swing and miss is something that they really take a hard look at because if you're swinging and missing at that level it's really hard to catch up to swing and miss at this level so i think they prioritize the bat to ball and

and believe that they can develop the other tools.

And that's, you know, what this entire process is going to be out from here forward.

Yeah, and would have been a minor league player of the year last year if he'd spent the entire year in the minor leagues.
