the Belgian captain just flat out whiffed on a shot from about eight yards away.

I thought that for this entire tournament, because the only game that the U.S.

had lost was a game that didn't really matter.

And so I was really interested to see how is the U.S.

going to respond when they face adversity for the first time in this tournament.

That's what really stuck out to me is what kind of leadership did this group really have?

I don't think that their best player is a great leader.

I think their best player was their worst player on the field in the first half, which is never a recipe for success.

Yeah, Pulisic.

I thought Christian Pulisic was terrible in the game.

And as bad as he was with the ball, and I know the stat was going around.

I think ESPN FC had it where he gets dispossessed 11 times the initial 45 minutes.

But they picked on him defensively.

They looked at him and said, that's the guy we're going to attack defensively.

And so he was...

terrible on both sides of the ball.

And yet you saw the U.S.

try and like force feed him the ball because I think in the moment where they're struggling, they're kind of looking for their guy to get him going.

And there was nobody that got him going.
