What I'm hearing in more than one of these questions is what happens in a relationship when there's an income and financial differential?
When one person has more and the other has less, how do you navigate that?
And I've been in both sides of that equation.
And in general...
what always works well for both partners is asking yourself and asking them, how much money do I have to spend every month?
Actually, how much money do I have to just spend freely every month?
And that can help guide you to where you spend your money and what the dates look like and what you're doing.

And so this conversation might be helpful for all parties involved.
I think there's this fear when you're the partner not making as much money that if you bring that up, you're going to stifle the fun out of the relationship.
But what if that person making more money also needs to save a little bit more too?
