Yeah, it's among the many messaging problems, charitably speaking, that Trump and the administration have had.
So on losing track of time on Saturday, the administration had a briefing, background briefing with three senior administration officials.
And this was one of the things that was proactively or I guess all of it was proactive because they didn't take questions addressed by one of the administration officials.
They're saying, well, yes, it was obliterated, but then they started to reconstitute it.
And they went through a number of things concerning
of iran's possession and manufacture of centrifuges something called ir6 and the allegation that the uranium they sought to be enriched was five times the amount needed for a civilian program and they ticked through a whole bunch of other things i don't know if you want me to bore you with it what you came across there is they they sort of had multi-pronged reasoning
behind going to war, behind authorizing the strike.
They just couldn't find agreement.
And each side is saying the other conducted the negotiations in bad faith on the uranium enrichment and the nuclear program.
The United States had this quasi preemptive doctrine that you guys just went over.
It's still not really clear just what the U.S.
position is.
And then in addition to that, it looks like there was a target of opportunity thing where Trump frequently sort of moves sort of the chess pieces on the board or some would say checkers to take advantage of a situation that maximizes the strengths and minimizes weaknesses.
And so there's undoubtedly a target of opportunity thing here that sort of precipitated them doing that a little sooner than perhaps they had intended, because generally speaking, when an administration goes to war or does a big thing like this, they do a better job.
in sort of laying the predicate for this.
And instead, it was sort of the military action and then the predicate.
And now it's sort of all being figured out in real time.
