And amid that intensification, Trump got more interested in doing this.
So I think it's probably also fair to assume that Netanyahu had a major role in either talking him into it or telling him that his instincts and what he wanted to do was the right thing.
And here we are.
And we should note the buildup to this has been going on for months, if not, you know, I mean, at least a couple of months.
I mean, there's been reports of both warships and aircraft positioning.
So this is, you know, there doesn't seem to be a particular catalyst per se, but it's certainly been something that's been in the works for months and months.
So I think that's important to keep in mind.
Yeah, I mean, I think that's true.
It's probably some mixture of all of that.
It's just that it's quite possible the vast majority of the people in the administration are also in the dark as to what are the main drivers of this.
And so at the end of the day, I think
One thing that we have yet to see, and look, part of the problem is that the leadership of the opposition party has not exactly put a stake in the ground and said, don't do this.
They have spent most of their time trying to figure out ways in which they can encourage this to happen, wave it through, and not get any of the blame or the responsibility for these actions.
And so, you know, one of the questions as we spend all this time thinking about why is this happening?
The other question is, why is this not happening?
And part of the reason why it's not happening is because there isn't a sufficient political opposition to this attack on Iran.
You don't see Democrats holding Republicans responsible for this because a lot of those Democrats are okay with it.
And, you know, for weeks, we've been hearing reporting that the Democratic leadership has been attempting to slow walk the War Powers Resolution bills, both in the House and in the Senate.
And we haven't heard a strong statement coming out of Chuck Schumer's mouth
I mean, the most resonant statement that Chuck Schumer has made about Iran was months ago where he claimed that- No side deals.
