The the the big thing and I mean I remember when Vermont was looking at it 'cause they had a waiver where they could uh try and do it, and the uh governor got too afraid about raising taxes on everybody. podcast-host

Uh and then we're gonna go forty five like we're just gonna keep go uh or uh or or would you just uh in day one everybody's covered. podcast-host

Well um where are you on the question of uh outlawing private insurance? 'Cause I've had like an a long time uh argument with folks about about this. podcast-host

And the and the fear is, of course, that uh wealthy people uh uh you know that doctors will just provide uh uh or private insurance. podcast-host

You get private insurance for uh expensive doctors and then uh they'll podcast-host

be a dearth of providers and whatnot. podcast-host

Um w where are you on that? podcast-host

Because I've it's always occurred to me, and I have and and maybe you can tell me why this wouldn't work, that podcast-host

In lieu of uh of of outlawing private insurance, that you simply say you cannot get licensed as a medical provider unless the eighty percent of your billing podcast-host

is or 90% or whatever the number is, uh, is uh Medicare, uh, is paid for by Medicare. podcast-host

Um and then, you know, uh private insurance ends up dying on the vine as a political to uh it's no longer a political hot button, uh, and everybody gets y all the providers have to stay providing care for people on Medicare. podcast-host
