Prosecutors say Andrew Arabaca spent months planning the attack and buying supplies.
They say he purposely chose to carry it out at a busy entrance and that he knew his actions could put people in danger.
Prosecutors also say he confessed to what he did and why he did it after his arrest.
Arabaca's defense attorney says his actions were likely motivated by mental illness.
