When there's new technology, there aren't patterns.

They don't exist.

And so I think we rewrote our integration maybe three or four times before landing on something that we thought was quite clever.

And so what we've ended up with is essentially you have sort of a read integration and a write integration or an action integration.

The read stuff is kind of simple.

Give me some statistics about the product that my app does.

And the actions are kind of interesting.

And so what we've done is we've tried to teach Sidekiq the language of Discount Kit.

And so we've given it a couple of tools.

The first one is essentially our language written in JSON schema with some examples.

And then we have an action that validates configuration.

And so you can see in the logs,

the read and the write or the read and the action are kind of communicating with each other until it lands on a valid config.

And then it pulls it up in what are called admin intents and pre-populates the form.

And it's kind of just magic, really, when you see it working.

A little bit complicated to get set up, I'll admit, but it feels like magic for real.

So the team cooked is the right word, I think.
