He's a polarizing player, but – They're the guys you should trade for.
those yeah nearly that once right yeah the safe stuff rarely rarely puts you in a really strong spot I mean the safe stuff you should be doing is like you know I pitched Trendon Watford as a bylo target because I think he's awesome um the the Celtics they managed to pick up Derek White and it was awesome incredible decision I wanted the Raptors to trade for him but in doing so they also gave away Aaron Neesmith and the Pacers benefited from that
There's always players who are quietly ready to help you.
There's just a bunch of them in the league, but sometimes you got to risk it, especially in a market where guys aren't going to sign there.
If you want to get that type of talent in house and I know, but it's, it feels silly as like a Raptors coverage because you have the Kawhi Leonard thing to reference back to, but it'll never, ever be Kawhi again.
Like that was a perfect hand in glove situation.
Um, another hand in glove, RJ Barrett with this offense this year, there was, there was, I think the, the low side, the like pessimist angle of this team was that you look at Scotty and you say, okay, he just came off of like a terrible volume shooting season.
You look at quickly and you say, ah, he's not really a point guard.
You look at RJ and Ingram and you declare both of them empty calorie scores, right?
I don't think I'm strawmanning to say that a chunk of analysts had probably an outlook similar to that.
Okay.
So to that effect...
RJ Barrett, he's not played in a little while.
I think he played 16 or 17 games.
He's missed like 10 games now.
But it was a hell of a start to the season.
And not even buoyed by incredible stats.
They're good stats.
