Now, it's not back to his very best, but I think he's a bit of a happy chappy.

versus where he was this time last year i think was it hungry last year where he was like saying he was useless and they should get someone else to drive the car i've never seen a mental turnaround from someone who is a seven-time world champion to be that high before coming be that low like say he's the worst driver he's terrible away like you've got over 100 race wins i am the worst i am the worst at this technically never successful ever but i'm the worst

Yeah, his turnaround is being phenomenal.
And I think it does show that it's such a stupid statement.
The car genuinely makes a difference.
um he's had input in creating this car he clearly enjoys the way these cars work a lot more and whilst we know that he didn't gel with the ground effect cars as some drivers thrived and some barely survived um it felt like see what i did there it felt like thrive to survive yeah yeah

Yeah, it just felt like he had to overcome that hurdle.
And it came at the worst time with the knocking 2021, of course, where it felt like maybe if he got that eighth, I don't know if he would have retired, walked away, whatever it might be.
You come into that low, you've got three or four years where you're being beaten like by George Russell, the car doesn't suit you.
And you come into a new era and we think, oh gosh, I'd like to get the start of the season.
