It don't make no sense, Santo.
It don't make no sense for the future.
It don't make no sense for now.
It don't make no sense for the long-term viability of CPL.
So if TKR win the competition this year, because they look like the best team, or if Guyana win, or if St.
Lucia win,
great okay cool good everyone in Guyana jump up and down everyone in Trinidad jump up and down St Lucia jump up and down but ask yourself this question what benefit did it bring for West Indies cricket
The question here is, Santokhi, and maybe here's the harshest thing of all, how, at the moment then, how is CPL any different to, like...
a UAE, like, you know, those leagues where they have no domestic players playing prominent roles because like, so you see like in the major league cricket, the American players, they're in there, but they're not the major players.
They're like just some any man and bear overseas men are the star attractions in, in the major league cricket, right?
Those type of things only happen in associate cricket where the, the home players aren't the major turns because they're,
they're not very good or they're not given opportunities to showcase if they can be very good because it's promoted around the quality of the overseas players, right?
CPL's in danger of not having the strength and depth of home players to justify the tournament.
At the moment, other than the crowd, what's to say that CPL couldn't just be some Dubai league because of the imbalance between domestic players and overseas players?
But clearly they know that rules need to be in place, or maybe it was Crick Westonians who insisted on it.
Because in the breakout league this year, there were certain rules in place, like you had to pick a leg spinner in every game.
The leg spinner had to bowl at least three overs in every game.
What was one of the other rules they said?
You could only have three players over the age of 27 in your team.
The rest had to be under the age of 25, etc., etc.,
