So I was out the weekend.
I was at my best friend's birthday from college in Clare and I was also out in my hometown on the Sunday for the bank holiday.
It was actually my first bank holiday off in nearly two years because I worked in a bar up until about last week.
But I was out in Clare and I was at my friend's and we were on the dance floor and we were having a great time and a group of boys started chanting at me.
Well, they started chanting out loud.
I don't know if it was aimed at me or if it was just out loud, but they were chanting racial slurs beside me.
And then on the Sunday, a racial slur got shouted at me.
The N-word.
Not in my view, anyways.
So, on the Saturday, I turned to my friend and I said, did you hear that?
And Megan, the poor creator, was dancing away and she didn't hear it at all and I was just kind of glad that she didn't hear it because
I didn't want it to be brought up because we were having such a good night celebrating my friend Danielle.
Then on the Sunday, I was really grateful that a lot of people actually stepped in and helped me and made sure I was okay.
Yeah, it's happened a few times before.
Now, it wouldn't happen on the daily.
But in some situations, it might happen.
But I usually just try to ignore it.
I do have really thick skin when it comes to it because I am a really happy person and I'm very bubbly and I don't really try to let those things get to me but sometimes in certain situations and certain times it can get to me a bit more than usual.
