My thing is Republicans need to get off the LGBTQ and especially the trans thing.
It's not going to work for them long-term.
It's a one moment where they're actually gaining ground and creating fear with misinformation and lies, but it's not a long-term strategy.
We've proven that time and time again.
So I argue back, Democrats aren't on the trans thing.
Democrats are trying to protect everyday Americans and Republicans, specifically MAGA, or I guess all of Republicans are kind of MAGA now.
It's all MAGA all the time.
And they're the ones that are obsessed with transgender people.
We're a nonpartisan organization.
But we actually just did a really deep dive into the media ecosystem.
And then we did another...
huge segmentation on the movable middle of America.
And we've looked at where those movables are on issues and they're actually not anti-trans.
They are confused and they are flooded with misinformation.
So my recommendation and what I say is that we have to get back to shared values of family, freedom,
and fairness and focus, Democrats need to focus messaging on that and not take the bait with these folks who are trying to, whose anti-trans rhetoric is really dangerous.
I think it's really important.
It's not, we don't have to sell out anyone to advance another's rights.
And I think we don't see the world oftentimes as
plentiful and abundant and there's enough for everyone um and i think we should protect the most marginalized but we didn't make this an issue they've made this an issue trans people were existing freely in society for dec
