Delighted to be here.

Quite a few reasons, really.

I think that as a full member of the ICC, cricket has so many opportunities and potential, but also challenges.

There's a lot of responsibility that comes with being a full member and we're almost 10 years in and some of those challenges are more apparent now.

in terms of the financial sustainability of being a full member, in terms of how we bring women more into the games, in terms of how we develop the game with massive infrastructure challenges and that.

So I was excited by both the opportunity and the challenge.

Obviously, we're building a new stadium, co-hosting the 2030 Men's World Cup.

It's back in the Olympics.

And for me as well, I think we have a real opportunity to be part of it.

you know, how this, the culture of Ireland is because, you know, there's a lot of immigrants who've come in and, you know, who are forming part of New Ireland who, for them, cricket is their sport.

And so I think I'm excited by that as well.

I think so we can impact not just on the sport, but we can hopefully impact wider on how we are as a society.

So yeah, looking forward to it.

I know very little about cricket is the absolute truth.

Yeah, no, I would fail absolutely to try and do that.

And though I have been told by some of the players that it's not as complex as people make it out to be.

So I'm giving myself a little bit of time to find my way, particularly, I think, by the time the Women's World Cup comes along.

I'd like to understand the game a bit better.

I think there are pros and cons to it.
