I really want to talk about the Max Miller thing because it is an example of a bunch of things that bother me in the moment.
But Lawler's really highlighting one of them, which is we got like six weeks out from the Platner discourse.
Because he, like every other Republican, when the Plattner thing was happening and the accusations were coming out, condemned Platiner, condemned all his supporters.
Condemned anyone who was backing him.
And so Democrats did the right thing.
And they tossed Platiner overboard when he was credibly accused of rape.
Republicans in extraordinary close proximity to that same thing happening.
Who o you may remember Tim.
Our friend Kevin McCarthy and Kellyanne Conway going on TV regularly to say we don't defend abusers in our ranks.
Now, at the time, it was already absurd because of course Donald Trump renders all of that stuff.
The hypocrisy is already there.
But to then just weeks later have this Max Miller situation, right?
And Republicans basically be like
No, we're gonna stick with him.
And for somebody like Mike Lawler, who likes to pretend like he's one of the good guy moderates, to say, this is just divorce, the hypocrisy is staggering.
They and they they are willing to brazen these out.
This is a difference between Republicans and Democrats.
And it is not just Lawler and the elected officials, it's the entire sort of right-wing Twitter brigade who came for us over platform.
Overplay.
That's right.
