The idea of we need a police department or we need police departments that are more that aren't shooting people uh you know in the streets or whatever that are better than the other people.
Versus defunding the police.
Do you know who the main people against defunding the police are?

And so like those excesses created a backlash that I think allowed Trump to come back.
Um and so I think t to me there were a lot of harms done.
I don't like dismissing it just as like, oh, people are annoyed that there's like a barista with a nose ring and Starbucks and

You know, I think sometimes people think that it is a
mark of of bad character or something to change your mind.
It is not.
It is a mark of good character.
Oftentimes people think of something like regret as a negative emotion, but regret is a positive emotion because it is you saying, this thing from before was wrong and I've re-evaluated it in light of new information.
Taking in new information and changing your your mind, like that's what we did.
Like we we we
were like, no Trump, like this is a bad thing, and reevaluating things in light of new information is a sign of intelligence, not something you have to be ashamed of.
