Yeah, good morning, Pat.

Yes.

I arrived into Croak Park yesterday at about lunchtime, and I have to say there was already what I would describe as kind of a carnival atmosphere about the place.

You know, it was jubilant, it was triumphant, it was maybe less like a sporting event, more like a coronation was on the cards.

And supporters there really looked patriotic as well.

You know, they were decked out in their tricolor flags and bucket hats, their boxing paraphernalia.

I expect to do a double take on the

At one point, when I walked past a baby wearing boxing gloves.

So that's the sort of sense of how things were going.

And that energy just built and built over the next couple of hours pat.

And so by about eight, the stadium itself really filled up.

And I found myself chatting with, you know, young kids at their first fight and then longtime fans who kind of happily reeled off her career highlights.

I actually spoke with one man who who worked at the tr the gym she first trained at.

And another who'd been to so many of her showdowns, he'd actually flown back from America to get one last opportunity to see Katie in action.

But I think what really stood out to me yesterday was the sense of community and sort of unity and togetherness there was at Croke Park.

You know, I think we associate it maybe more with face-offs between the great rivals, you know, Kerry versus Mayo, that sort of thing.

But yesterday, everyone stood together for Katie Taylor to witness this piece of history.

There were a number of kind of progressively more important fights uh scheduled path throughout the day, just in case the crowd forgot what sport had actually brought them there.
