Why do you think, because this is something that I think has held me back and I think is holding back a lot of people.
Why do you think we have this idea that we owe excellence to ourselves or the world or somebody or something?
You know, this idea that if we're going to pursue something, we have to be great at it or become great at it or we have to be gifted in some way, even though it's kind of, you know...
Makes a little less sense to think about being gifted as an adult, but maybe this is a bit of a millennial fixation because, I don't know, the gifted child industries were at their height when we were growing up, possibly.
Because I think maybe we want to dismiss that feeling in ourselves and call it egomania, but really I think it's the idea, not that we even need or want to be particularly great at something, but that if we're not great at something, someone will be mad at us for spending time on it.

Or to choose what you like, regardless of your ability to be like to buy it in return.
