oh that's good yeah because I never want to lose it but I do feel that obviously I'm going to there are going to be bits that will change and that's hard do you sound different on your BBC Northern Ireland Ulster final coverage than you do doing something else potentially BBC-ify your accent
Potentially, yeah.
Yeah, potentially.
I remember I did the open back in 2019 in Portrush and I had one of my producers call me.
He wasn't working on the golf stuff.
I was doing it with Five Live.
And he called me the following week and, you know, he was very complimentary, but he said, you sounded really Irish.
But I was, you know, on Five Live around all kind of other kind of British broadcasters.
But he said there was something just obviously about you being home.
And I think I probably sound a bit more Irish on the GA stuff than I maybe do when I'm doing the athletics or the football.
Well, you could give him the interest, couldn't you?
You know.
I know.
In a year.
Yeah.
I do think, you know, you are right, though, in terms of, you know, a natural conclusion to his managerial career with Ireland might be after that World Cup.
You'd kind of sense that in terms of kind of coaching tickets that we've seen before.
And there's always an awful lot of
change post-World Cups and, you know, in terms of service and structure kind of going forward, they've bought them that little bit of time to allow them the leeway.
So even if it's not Andy Farrell that comes in, there may potentially be other international coaches that will be freeing themselves up that may be in the market potentially for shifts back to club or to club for the first time.
