And that is quite challenging to have happen.

And that is just soul-destroying.
My faith in the system has definitely taken a hit.
I've also had to manage the fact that the subject matter that I work on has now happened to me and how my emotional response is to that, like having a panic attack or something.
Do I need to find a whole other career?
All of those questions are just churning.
And I think the other thing has been that it's somewhat inevitable that my son will be exposed to information about me that's come through this process.
That in order to achieve a justice outcome,
He'll come to know a lot about my personal life and that that will change what he thinks of me.
It feels like I have had to give up piece by piece by piece of myself and that changes you.
