Look, let's start with, you know, you were once arguably the most powerful CEO in the country.

Oh, that's a big title.

Is it a job you'd recommend?

Look, you didn't want to work in airlines.

Your book's called Riding the Jet Stream.

And you say you weren't aerosexual, which, did you invent that term, by the way?

I've never heard it before.

Yeah, well, you said that in the book, you had no dreams of flying, no super interest in the space.

Did something change to make you want to work with airlines?

Yeah, so you wrote in the book as well that you had this goal to become the CEO of an airline by age 40, which you did achieve at the age of 37, I believe, when you took over Jetstar, and that was in 2003.

You then took over Qantas in 2008.

Aside from setting goals, is there something you credit your success to?

That is quite an achievement to be the CEO of a major airline by 37.

So you mentioned there your roots in Ireland and you came to Australia in 1996 to join ANSET, now sadly defunct.

Did you have aspirations or a dream or a plan to move to Australia before taking on this role or was it purely professional?

What were your first impressions of Australia?

Was it hard to work?
