as long as you're right on your evaluation, you're probably not going to make the wrong choice here at the season.

Now, again, who knows what development for players, somebody may not work out and chances are of those four players I mentioned one or two, don't turn out to be the players you had hoped.

So you got to make sure you're right on those guys.

And that's why the idea of trading down is a good one, but you also don't have your true selection of who you think is the best.

You kind of just take whoever's available to you.

And sometimes that can be a little bit riskier and whatnot, but, um,

I'd like the spot at number three in terms of who's available, but if Stenberg's there at three, that's what's really fascinating.

Does the team actually take Stenberg at three, or do they take the center or the D-man, and do we see Stenberg slide potentially on draft day?

still scoring he's still playing and there weren't any like true superstars that came out of that draft outside of Jamie Ben that was a fifth round pick that year and if you're talking about somebody winning the fifth round you can never be like well you should have gone you know you should have taken him in the first I mean that's somebody goes that far in the draft there was never a possibility that person being a first round pick let alone go at the very top of that draft I mean

Jacob Voracek had a real good career.

I guess Logan Couture would be the guy if it wasn't for the injuries where we would be talking about him still playing at a relatively high level.

I'd probably say he was a second best forward taken in that draft.

yeah sure second best player in the draft in the first round if you talk about the guys that went in the first round right like right if we're framing it yeah that probably tracks voracek had a really good high end as well not a send but not a center but yeah but it wasn't it wasn't the uh who's who's draft a lot of good players were taken guys that end up being you know second pairing d-men and second line players and whatnot but it was a nhl players draft
