What about bringing back Mike Gillis?

That name, again, it seems like that name's popped up here today.

Yeah, I mean, I think from the market standpoint, the fans would feel better about it.

Now, we do still get people texting in and be like, well, you guys talk about Gillis all the time, but look at his drafting history, and I know that's something that he's acknowledged himself and said he would do things a lot differently if those things didn't come back again.

He blamed the scouts.

Yeah.

I'd revamp the scouts again, yeah.

Well, that's the thing that I wonder about.

Because initially, my question had always been, would Gillis even want to put himself back in that position?

But based on all the stuff that we're hearing about, maybe he'd be interested in it.

I just wonder, as he's kind of gone through the process with other organizations, and one thing that, you know, and I'm not trying to, you know, I'm not covering for ownership here at all in any way, shape or form.

But I think one thing that people just assume is that you go to a different team and another owner's like, just

Do whatever you want.

Like, go ahead.

And it doesn't quite work that way.

I know Elliot's spoken about this a lot, that managing up to ownership is one of the biggest responsibilities your top executives have in the National Hockey League nowadays.

And you'd be surprised how many organizations the owners on top of a lot of different things want answers and push and prod for timelines.
