You're going to have to really step in it in your introductory press conference to come away with people feeling not good about the situation.
I can't think of many introductory press conferences for the Canucks where you did not feel good about the GM or the head coach.
Generally, it's always been a good, positive vibe.
Those things do happen.
So unless something weird like that happens, generally it's always considered a layup and a positive.
So I'm always careful to not extrapolate the good vibes and good feelings of an introductory press conference and say, this ensures success.
I'm sold that this is going to work because it ultimately comes down to the work.
And that to me is my biggest weight to see on everything here is I think Manny fits exactly the same way we've discussed RJ and the Sedins.

Ability to communicate, 10 out of 10.
Their understanding of the market, what it entails playing in Vancouver, what it entails being part of a Canadian market, and what the expectations are.

I think messaging, again, 10 out of 10.
All those things were perfect.
But the biggest thing comes down to acumen, execution, ability to add talent, and the ability to develop that talent.
And that's something we're not going to find out for honestly a few years.
So I'm excited about the messaging.
