I think it's all positive.
But none of us know how this is going to work out.
And a lot of it's going to come down to the execution over the next few years.
And in a rebuild, you're not going to see, most likely, the fruits of that labor right away.
It's going to take some time.
You got to buckle in and kind of let this play out a little bit before we have any idea of whether this is going to be successful or not.
Well, the thing is, you don't want to accept losing, but you also don't want to evaluate, like they mentioned, the process and the progress by the wins and losses.
Because when you have a young group and you're going through this...
this rebuild that Canucks are going through, you are expecting some losing.
You're expecting some bad hockey.
You're expecting things to go against you, and you're going to have to find a way to get through it.
But you're talking about the most competitive people on the face of the earth in many ways, these pro athletes.
And Manny fits into that exact same category.
And when you pose that idea of accepting losing, they're all going to have a little bit of defiance against that.
And I think that just kind of goes hand in hand.
But to your point, if you're trying to instill an environment of competitiveness...
then you can't also fully just accept losing and be like, hey, it's totally fine that we're going to go out and lose hockey games.
But how you play and how you lose matters.
And last year, we saw a lot of bad about how the Canucks lost.
