Honestly, Cody, it's got me a little frazzled.
The amount of options that are still available to the Broncos as we get closer to the draft and not knowing any sort of direction of where they're going has my head spinning a little bit.
I'm sure the listeners will agree.
But man, there's so many options at receiver specifically to be able to say in this year's draft, if we can...
What if they could swing something like, I remember the Demarius Thomas trade was like a fourth and a fifth, I think, something like that.
You could swing something like that for Cortland Sutton to get a fourth and a fifth, a couple extra darts in this year's draft.
That could be interesting for the Broncos, although it would be disappointing to see him go.
I think this year's draft presents them a unique opportunity to potentially move on and get some value back in return.
Jonathan Cooper, who has given the Broncos some of the best return on investment for a seventh-round pick, I think probably since Trevor Simeon, right, who became the starting quarterback once upon a time.
So I don't know that there's been many better seventh-round picks in recent Broncos history, unless you count the flash in the pan, Cody.
That was the Chad Kelly preseason stardom there.
But all kidding aside, look, Jonathan Cooper has really proven himself to be one of those types of guys that you feel like you can build around culturally.
I mean, his development has been phenomenal.
As we oftentimes say, it's not always this straight up trajectory, but I feel like for Jonathan Cooper, it kind of has been that way.
You know, we saw glimpses his rookie year.
We saw even more glimpses his second year.
And then in his third year with his most expanded role yet, see him go out there eight and a half sacks leads the team.
