So we're translating what's happening in technology, multiple directions.

I think in the U.S.,

there's a few different policy and both policy and political things going on.

One is that there has been a broader move that Silicon Valley has sort of learned about politics.

For many years, Silicon Valley tried to stay away from Washington.

They wanted Washington to stay as far away from it.

Don't tax us, don't regulate us.

Really, you saw this kind of through internet and the rise of apps and the smartphone.

There was an impetus to stay away.

What has happened, what has changed, I think, in the last decade

maybe five years or so, five, six years, is there's been a realization in Silicon Valley that tech companies can get something from Washington.

Especially as tech has become a lot more physical and requiring infrastructure, requiring chips.

Not that it didn't before, but before that wasn't a limiting factor.

Now it is.

And so when tech needs things now, and it's not just that, it's also things like procurement and getting into the Pentagon and defense contracts, it's sales overseas.

What Silicon Valley has realized is that they can bet on Washington and that's very political.

And so what you've seen in the last couple of years, and that's been supercharged in the last year and a half under the Trump administration, is really this very political relationship now with Washington.

So I say that

to sort of as a preamble that I think that things are a lot more, it's a lot more about deal-making, a lot more about politics.

That being said, that has driven, I think, the Trump administration up until this point to be very hands-off on AI.
