And that's how we wound up at sixty five.
Yeah, for for sure.
I mean, we we we planned on this.
Um, you know, we powered the study with an estimate that uh we'd increase the proportion of patients seen by palliative care uh by around 30%.
And we estimated that the baseline would be somewhere in the range of, you know, 10%.
So it turned out the baseline was about 16%, and indeed it went up by about 30%.
We ever imagined or even wanted for that matter.
everyone meeting these criteria to be seen by the palliative care team under the intervention.
That that that's not a sustainable thing.
That that and and the goal isn't
It it's not just that the goal was not to have the best be the enemy of the good.
It's actually that we didn't know and and and we still don't know, and I think it's probably not true that having all of those people seen by palliative care specialists would even be the best.

So at the time that we wrote this grant, the whole f business model of pa inpatient palliative care was predicated on reduction in the step.
Yeah.
That's what it will be.
Utilization, utilization.
We may not think.
that it's the ideal outcome measure.
