By the time we got out there, like a week and a half later, we'd kind of just like decided the throne might be the thing.
And we hadn't committed to it yet.
We hadn't gone to Trader Joe's, but we had this idea of like, wait, the smart toilet thing might actually be good.
And he like sits us down.
He's like,
I hate hardware, but if you think this is the right thing, I got your back.
And he's invested more since then.
And he and his wife are just like some of our biggest supporters.
They were early beta users, which has been just amazing.
And then another investor,
came back and he was like, I have been waiting to invest in smart toilet companies for my whole career.
I just haven't found the right one, but like, please go build that thing.
And it turns out like another nurse staffing platform, you know, there's a dime a dozen of those, but like a legitimate smart toilet platform that can promise to improve health and save the lives of millions of people is like a much bigger mission.
And like my biggest learning in all of this is the size of the mission is directly proportional to the quality of the people you're able to attract to the team.
Totally.
And I have reoriented around this mission.
It's something I hold so sacred.
And if it works, inevitably, this will make money.
But we are here in service of a larger mission.
That is, there are tens of millions of people with chronic digestive diseases and tens of millions of people with chronic urinary tract conditions and a life-saving mission for cancer prevention.
