Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine saw vaccine effectiveness at nearly 70% for infants under 90 days whose mothers got the RSV vaccine while pregnant.
Vaccine effectiveness was almost 75% for babies 30 days or younger.
The results come from a retrospective study looking at data from the last two RSV seasons.
RSV is a highly contagious respiratory virus that can be dangerous for babies and people over 65.
It's the leading cause of hospitalization for infants in the United States.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends pregnant individuals get the vaccine between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Democrats are calling for Congress to immediately go into session for a war powers resolution vote after the United States and Israel conducted military strikes on Iran.
Maryland Representative Johnny Olszewski sits on the Foreign Relations Committee.
A resolution requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of an attack and forbids armed forces from staying in an area longer than 60 days without congressional approval.

after ICE agents approached a van, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The agents opened fire on the van, striking one person.
Another person outside the van suffered minor injuries.
Both were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
ICE's Criminal Investigation Division is leading a probe into the shooting.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore says he's aware of the shooting and will remain in touch with local officials.
