So you're right.

We're seeing some of these players at the high school level that have been playing

you know, this one sport their entire lives.

And, you know, they've got some skills and they've got instruction from, you know, from guys who have been there and done it and are able to, you know, articulate it.

So I've heard this kid from Fort Worth Christian can flat out play.

It was one of the scouts with the, with the socks.

I forget his name, but said that he's,

you know, for sure the best high school shortstop that he has ever seen.

So, you know, and getting instruction and getting to play under a guy like Rusty Greer who played that many years in the major leagues, I mean, that is just great timing for that kid to be able to feed off that experience.

So I don't know exactly who the Sox are taking.

I don't even know if they know for sure yet, but it's going to be exciting.

I think they've got two and even three really great talents that they're going to be able to choose from.

So it should be exciting.

Well, my junior year in high school, there were scouts that started showing up at my games, and I was all new to that.

I was playing just at a small 3A school there in West, just about 15 miles north of Waco.

So I had put my pressure on myself there for a while.

I didn't perform up to my abilities because I was trying to impress the scouts.

But I remember my dad pulled me aside, like, hey, forget about it.

Just go out there, have fun, play your game.

The rest will take care of itself.
