I find defenders, by and large, are just harder than forwards to evaluate for obvious reasons.
I also grew up playing as a center iceman, so I sort of had a deeper understanding of the X's and O's of being a forward.

And you go down the list.
Those are the types that sort of really succeed at the NHL level.
And now you cannot rule out the outliers.
Like I was extremely high on Lane Hudson, for example.
I had Lane Hudson at 16th or 17th on my list the year he went 63rd or 64th or whatever it was.
Um, it's same goes for Logan Stankoven up front, really, really high on Cole Caulfield, those sort of outliers.
Um, but especially on the blue line, you need to trust when there's a kale McCarr or Elaine Hudson or a Quinn Hughes or an Adam Fox.
Adam Fox is another one.
