But he's a top line player for them right now.
He's on their PP1.
He's detail oriented.
He's 6'1.5".
He has room to get stronger.
He's one of the smartest players offensively and defensively in the draft class.
He's got more skill than I realized coming into this season.
And Malholtra is in play, I truly believe, as early as second or third overall in the draft right now.
So Malholtra is absolutely a name that you guys should be talking about in terms of the Canucks.
On top of the connection to his dad, obviously.
Yeah, I honestly think in the eyes of NHL scouts, he's already taken that leap.
I think we're talking about similar to what happened with Beckett Seneke.
Now, Beckett was viewed kind of as a late first rounder entering his draft class.
Caleb wasn't even viewed as a first rounder.
He wasn't even viewed coming out of the BCHL as a second rounder.
He did not have a great year in the BCHL last year, even for a 16-year-old player.
But I think you realize pretty quickly on this season that he plays better with more skilled players that last year was his first year away.
And I've spoken with Caleb and his family about this.
But last year was his first at 16 years old was his first time moving away from home.
And there's a lot that came with going out west and playing in the BCHL.
