I mean, the Newport Tower is sitting at the top of the hill overlooking Narragansett Bay in a place called Truro Park.
And the first mention of the tower is in the first governor of Rhode Island's will, Benedict Arnold, not the traitor.
It's the grandson or the grandfather or great-grandfather of the traitor.
But anyway, Benedict Arnold wrote in his will a year before he died.
In 1677, he was referring to his property, and he used my old stone mill as a reference point.
And so most people, they say, well, that's when it was built.
It must have been built by him.
But he never says that.
He just references it.
And he refers to it as old stone.
My old stone mill.
Yeah.
