So there would be sort of a strong support for increased investment in those areas to improve the supply capacity of the economy.

Like we are in a very strong position we've closed to.

3 million people at work.

It is an attractive country for people to come to.

We've net inward migration.

But unless we have the infrastructure, the housing, the transport, the water to deal with that growing population, that can lead to problems.

So I think having that at the top of the list would be key.

And it is, in a sense,

sort of a problem of success.

The fact that the population is growing, the numbers at work are growing and people want to come here is all a positive sign, but we have to have the infrastructure to meet that.

So if we are to look for areas to target and prioritise, well, the capital spending from the government's budget directed towards those areas would be key rather than perhaps maybe a focus on the current side or maybe a focus on tax changes, that if we did have the emphasis on the infrastructure side, we could see improvements there.

When it comes to capital spending, I think there's no doubt that the financial resources are there.

We have them coming in through these corporation tax receipts the government have and are running a surplus.

So if you want to increase capital spending, the financial capacity is there.

But it's not just as easy as turning on a tap.

And there are areas where things can get slowed down.

And perhaps when it comes to the labour force, the fact that we're running at four and a half, five percent unemployment, there isn't a big stack of workers out there that can pick up these big projects.

Yes, there can be issues in terms of getting them through planning, but they must meet the requirements of the planning laws as they are.

If the government wishes to change them, that can also be the case.

And of course, you have the cost.
