That's going to cause consternation.
I think there's tweaks that you can make.
I'd look at the football championship and I think it's a masterstroke what they're after doing.
it's reinvigorated football football was always hurling's lesser cousin it was always the hurling championship but I think that was glossed over by how good Munster hurling was yeah Munster hurling carried hurling on its back for so long and now this year probably the first year in a long time that you had a Munster championship below par it's now probably opened up and pulled off the bandaid and people are seeing hurling for what it is
while football had that F4C come in and they just blew it out of the water with how it's tweaked you still have your provincial you have your provincial that still means something maybe less so in terms of it garnering you a position later in the championship but
That could probably be looked at, but I think Hurling could take an awful lot from that.
And you look at Tipperary, you look at Watford this year, if they were to finish in fourth and fifth position this year and be out of the Munster Championship and the Munster Championship to carry on with whoever was in it this year, but if you were to say, okay, there's a backdoor for Tip and Watford,
to say to themselves, you're coming back into an All-Ireland series after the fact.
Are you telling me that they wouldn't have had an impact this year on the championship?
100%.
These boys would have went back and tweaked what they needed to tweak.
I thought Waterford were an inch away from taking a scalp this year.
I thought they would take a scalp, they didn't, but they were close to taking two or three.
And the young guys that they were after bringing in, I thought was admirable to what Peter Quealy did.
But I think that they would have only benefited from two or three weeks off to come back into an All-Ireland series after the fact and have some detriment to finishing fourth and fifth in the group that you have to, you play your first game in that All-Ireland series away from home.
But to have that back in, like there was a stat there.
