Uh, we had this advisory group. podcast-host

So there was me and Shay, there was Maddie Hinton and Di, and there was four of us and we were having this kind of like quarterly catch up and meeting. podcast-host

And Maddie had sort of he he'd caught w he he he must have noticed my demeanour was a bit off or I I wasn't quite didn't have the same sort of light in my eye or whatever it was. podcast-host

And as I was saying something, he said, Hey Steve, I'll just stop you there. podcast-host

And no one had I I hadn't stopped to even reflect on that and I I went to answer him and I just felt my sort of throat start to wobble and I was like, shit, where what's happened there? podcast-host

And I took sort of thirty seconds and I tried to um s say if I was okay or not and I just couldn't no words would come out. podcast-host

And we were all in different rooms, so this must have been quite surreal for Shay, but I I just started crying. podcast-host

Like I just I think I cried for about two minutes and I was like, Whoa. podcast-host

What the hell has happened there? podcast-host

I had no idea that this was sort of bubbling away inside of me. podcast-host

Shea said he did, but like for me it was just like I just kept charging and charging and charging. podcast-host

We had our reflections business and between two bears and four kids and strange relationships at home. podcast-host

I had a friend that uh had recently passed away and I just hadn't really dealt with any of it. podcast-host

And so it wasn't just that meeting. podcast-host

The next day we flew to Christchurch and I remember just being at a cafe with Shay and I was just crying. podcast-host
