I I wanna bring in um Mark Fisk's voice now because I think you worked with him for sort of fifteen or twenty years or so. podcast-host

I'd known Gloria for probably about five or six years and used her as a trainer and a coach without ever knowing her background story. podcast-host

It was only after she started writing and was getting near to publishing her book that she shared some of her background with me. podcast-host

Her job really was to provide almost emotional support to people that were facing very irate phone calls from customers and quite aggressive people. podcast-host

I was pretty impressed with her as a person long before I knew her story. podcast-host

Having known her story, I'm even more podcast-host

I'm more impressed now that one, she's capable of functioning in a normal society, but more than that, she's actually extremely caring, extremely supportive to those people around. podcast-host

One is that um I sort of just assumed that podcast-host

people you worked with would know your story, but of course they wouldn't, right? podcast-host

So to work with you for five or six years so closely and have no idea about this until you decide to start talking about it is one thing. podcast-host

And then the other one is the sort of emotional intelligence to be able to deal with irate people and kind of have this calming influence. podcast-host

I wonder how much of obviously the psychology work, but also your upbringing and background podcast-host
