I never tricked myself into thinking that we were actually turning things around.

There was a moment that was roughly 10 to 12 days long after the trade deadline where the team was legitimately very fun to watch.

And the strategy that the front office, which does not have a lot of supporters right now, sought was, at least in the short term, clearly not the correct one.
