The websites didn't really click and resonate because it was all about them.
Like we were designing, in essence, nothing more than a digital billboard where people could talk about how awesome they thought they were.
What I like about the story brand framework is because
I believe kind of going back to your original question.
It is the best way to serve people in your marketing.
Because what the story brand framework is, is it uses the hero's journey, the the arc of a typical story about how a cuss uh uh uh a character encounters a problem, then meets a guide that gives them a plan and calls them to action so they can avoid all these bad things and happily.
Is when you go to a graphic designer and you tell them I need a brand kit, right?
They're gonna create your logos, your colors, your fonts, and how everything should visually look.
So whenever you go to a graphic designer, say, Hey, I need a billboard or I need some social media assets created, they're not taking that brand kit and pasting it on a billboard.
They're using that to filter the designs through to make sure that as they're designing things, it looks like
Yeah.
That's what a brand script is.
So it's creating these seven different talking points of determining what your customer wants, what the problem is that's keeping them from getting what they want, why you are the right person to solve that problem by showing empathy and authority, how you're going to call them to action.
We don't ever want people to contact us.
We want to be very clear: schedule a call, book your appointment, buy now.
Then we want to give them a very simple three-step plan on how they can go from where they're at to where they need to be with working with you.
Tell them all the things that they're going to avoid and all the great things they're going to experience after they get that problem solved.
We create those talking points.
So then whenever we go to write email copy, write website copy, just like the visual aspect for the graphic designer, well, as a marketer and a copywriter, now we're going to write words and we're not just taking that brand script and pasting it on a website, but as we're writing words, we're looking that as our filter or lens for writing all of our messaging.
What that framework does is it positions your customer as the hero and you as the perfect guide to come alongside them and solve the problem.
