And I would start that guy.
Because if you ultimately add a high upside quarterback to compete with Will Howard, that could bring the best out of a multitude of things.
You truly find out, is Mike McCarthy's coaching...
up to snuff in the modern NFL with a young quarterback.
The last time that McCarthy helped develop a young QB outside of Aaron Brooks at the turn of the century in New Orleans, it was the very beginning of Aaron Rodgers' career.
Very talented, tough quarterback, one of the most talented quarterbacks of all time.
And McCarthy helped mold him.
I don't think McCarthy made Aaron Rodgers what he was, but he helped.
If Garrett Nussmeier, who Mike McCarthy is good friends with his dad, Doug Nussmeier, or Drew Aller, 6'5", big arm, big hand size, as Nick Faribault was telling us about earlier.
Neither quarterback is that mobile.
They can escape, but they're not Lamar Jackson outside the pocket.
They're not Josh Allen.
Aller can move, but he's not going to be able to.
You're not creating designed runs for these types of guys.
I would rather go with one of those guys than Will Howard because even though Mike McCarthy is saying if he was in the NFL, he would have drafted Will Howard earlier.
If this was this year's draft, would Will Howard have been...
drafted by the Steelers in, let's say, the fourth round or the third round with all these high draft picks that they have in the middle rounds.
