So I've just been so blessed.

I mean, I've worked with well over 100 people.

And, you know, it's the list of amazing human beings is endless.

I just mentioned Greg and Molly McGrath and before that, Todd Blackridge and Chris Spielman.

And I could go down the whole list.

Jerry Remy, when I did the Red Sox, every single one of them has been a great blessing in my life, both personally and professionally.

Well, it's going to sound remarkably hypocritical because of what we just talked about, that I was so fortunate I had a chance to do AAA baseball when I was 19 and be doing the Red Sox games when I was 25.

My advice would be be patient, right?

Because it is, to your point, really competitive.

I talked to a young man yesterday who's 25 and he's already doing a lot of really, I mean, to me, he's ahead of where most young people his age who want to be play-by-play people should be.

You know, he's like on the fast track.

And yet he's frustrated.

And how do I get on to the next thing?

So that's what I said to him.

I said, slow down.

Enjoy the journey.

That's the other thing.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the climb and the actual doing of the job and the next opportunity that we don't.

I look back on that Syracuse Chiefs time.

There were so many fun, wonderful life experiences and friendships that I made that I'll cherish forever that I don't think I really appreciated that that much of the time.
