Even in the stand, it's obvious that Flagg is going to bring his people to Las Vegas because Las Vegas is the place of sin.

And it seems natural that the bad people are going to congregate there versus Boulder, which is sort of seen as this hippy-dippy, nice place to be.

And so this is an idea that King has continued, but here, because we're working within two worlds, it has extra resonance, I think.
